Susan Morrison-Dyke continues to find inspiration in the balanced geometry of ancient
art, the reductive abstraction of mid-century modern and the fresh inventiveness of
cubism. Upcoming shows include Autumn POP-UP at Nault Gallery in September and
New Works on a Grand Scale for The Grand Opening of the New South Lobby at The
Myriad Gardens, a show she will share with artist husband, Tony Dyke. Together they
are the owners and co-founders of 14th Street Studios, an affordable artist studio
collective in downtown OKC. Her most celebrated works are the mosaic murals The
History of Bricktown at the ballpark in Oklahoma City, commissioned by The City of
Oklahoma City MAPs Public Art Program.
Susan was recently featured in ART NOW at Oklahoma Contemporary, Unquenchable
Search at Untitled Gallery and New Abstractions with Tony Dyke at The Myriad Gardens.
She continues to live in OKC and exhibit work at Nault Gallery and Kazum Contemporary
Fine Art. An Oklahoma native, Susan Morrison-Dyke earned a BFA in painting from The
School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. There she became associated with fellow
art students Doug Anderson, Nan Goldin and The Starn Twins and was an integral part of
Boston’s neo-expressionist movement in the 1980’s. In the past, her work has been
featured by Whitney Museum director, David Ross at the Institute of Contemporary
Art’s Boston NOW, The Museum of Fine Arts Travelling Scholars Exhibition and
numerous solo and group exhibitions at Stux Gallery in Boston and New York.
